I'm holding out hope that they play it for me!
Out of curiosity, has Brian or anyone from the band been at the merch table during the shows that some of you guys went to? George and Brian were at the table last time I saw 'Box but I had no idea that they were sitting there until I actually went to buy a shirt. Best surprise ever!
Brian set up the merch at my show, but went outside and hung around their van after they played. AJ (I believe) did merch. When I went outside, Brian was very approachable though, signed the three CDs (AA, 4 Songs, Mr. Valentine) I bought and answered some of my lame questions haha.
By the way, I asked about some of the tracks that are floating around Youtube but didn't make the album (Darlene, Smonks, etc.) and Brian said they would see the light of day. Also, was told that they're looking to re-issue some older stuff, particularly Cosmic, but I guess there was some issue with the album cover.

From the Shout Box:
brightwhitelight: Oh my goodness. Shane and the other very good folks of Weatherbox contacted me earlier tonight and asked if they could stay the night at my place while they are in town for the Buffalo, NY show tomorrow. I was so taken aback and honored. 2 minutes ago x
brightwhitelight: I so so so so so badly want to do it but I live in a two bedroom apartment with my brother and he's not really understanding why it's such a big deal. I'm trying really hard to find a friend with some space who wouldn't mind but I'm not sure who could. AH! less than a minute ago x
brightwhitelight: I will be seriously seriously bummed if this really unique and amazing opportunity can't happen for me but I am still going to see them at the show tomorrow night either way. FREAKING OUTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!

My entire Weatherbox experience was way more than I could have ever asked for!
First of all, Shane, you're the man. We are all so lucky to have such an awesome dude amongst our little group of misfits and him touring with the band must be a dream come true. You truly are the Weatherboy and I wouldn't have it any other way, my man. I was also privileged enough to meet Tadeo who is a super cool guy as well. I had no idea that he was the band's tour manager for this run of dates. I'm so happy for both of you duders!
Anyway, I got to the venue right around the time that the doors were about to open so I parked real quick and then started heading in when I realized that I was walking right past Brian and the rest of the guys who were unloading their van. Right off the bat, I got to meet the band and chat with them for a few minutes before I went inside to get my ticket. Brian is literally the most approachable and genuine dude in the big biz of show biz lol. He seemed sincerely hyped on my tattoo as well as how much the band truly means to me in my life. He's super sweet. The only guy missing was AJ so I walked around for a bit and then eventually spotted him so I could say what's up. Him and the new drummer Andrew were ridiculously chill! The entire band treated me like a close friend which I appreciated sooooooo much. The memories that I made tonight will totally be with me forever!
Needless to say, the show was fucking killer. Here is the setlist, which is a bit out of order mind you:
Pagan Baby Atoms Smash Big News Mountain Drag Out Dark All Night Secret Muslim The Devil and Whom (with Dikembe's singer) Broken Glowsticks
After the show, I nabbed the "Misfits Skull" looking Weatherbox shirt and then got the whole band to sign my ticket stub. Brian talked to me again for a bit and kept thanking me while I simultaneously kept thanking him haha. Simply an amazing day. WEATHABOCKSSSSSS!
Interviewed Rob from MO today and asked about The Mansion / The Devil and Whom? He said the two songs are directly related to something that Brian and Andy went through together and the men the songs refer to are direct references to each other.
That's awesome. I'd love to hear what the story is . I hope the band the Box is gonna do a full tour with is Manchester. I still need to see them, plus I would probably get to see The Devil and Whom? Haha.

So jealous of everyone who has seen them on this tour! Dikembe are rad. Hope everything's is okay with having to pull out of the last dates though, it's amazing how much you can worry about people you've never met!
sorry to those who posted about it only to have their posts/shouts deleted by us. figured it would be best to let brian explain first. shout out to tadeo and shane for being there for brian when this all occured. you guys are fucking awesome.
