I got my zine in the mail today and my tattoo plus a small description of why I got it were included in it! Sooooooo stoked on how cool the whole thing came out!

On an unrelated note, the coolest thing happened the other night:
I was shrooming with three other friends and after I started peaking I put "Flies In All Directions" on shuffle with my headphones. I had just bought some cheap ones at a store while getting other trip supplies, but when I plugged them into my phone I immediately noticed that they were not working properly. The crew and I were walking down a long road so I kept holding the cord in such a way that both headphones had sound coming out of them but I was only getting some of the audio signal. I was listening to "The Last White Lighter" and I could literally hear the demo backing track behind all of the shiny high-def audio that was layered on top later. There's a ton more auto-tuned vocals than what you can hear on the normal stereo track and it was amazing to hear the "bare song" that way. It was still happening for most of "Fresh Prints" and that sounded SOOOO cool stripped down to the demo track with sparse vocals. I have no idea how it happened but then it fixed itself for the end of that song but after that it never worked again for the rest of the night. All of it was interesting as fuck and made my trip even that much better. Walking into a large clearing over the top of a steep hill during the crescendo of "Fresh Prints" was one of the coolest feelings ever. COM-ING-FOR-IT!

So my zine came today and just wow. I feel truly honored to be featured at all, let alone being the first damn thing in it. Also the layout was masterful, the way my "essay" and the one on the last page complement each other ("you need a moon to reflect your light.") was just truly awesome. I hope everyone here got a copy!

Sorry for the triple post but I had to quote ya to let you know that I know exactly what you're talking about! I used to do that stuff all the time with some of my favorite records, in fact it helped me learn some songs because it tends to really bring forward some buried guitar work sometimes. You can actually get the same effect by putting the track in audacity and using some effects to split the stereo track and invert the phases or something, I can't explain it. I really wish I knew how it worked

Looks like we may see some rare physical stuff on the tour, the Box posted a picture of a Mr. Valentine CD a couple weeks ago on Facebook and today a picture of a box of 4 Songs EP CDs was posted... Can't say I know if they're actually gonna be sold or not, but that's what makes the most sense to me.

I've never needed to see Weatherbox live so badly ever since I've become spiritually aligned with this band over the past four years or so.
I am so lucky to be able to see them play for my second time on the 22nd of July in Buffalo, NY. I hope I get to talk to Brian and tell him how much of a difference his art has made/continues to make in my life. I don't know where I'd be spiritually if I never accidentally stumbled upon "Moments Before the Smashing of Future Ryan" one cold afternoon many moons ago. In any event, I'm just so glad that I did. Shit is super rough right now and I've been revisiting The Cosimc Drama a lot lately. It keeps me level.
Anyone who's going to one of the shows on this tour is one lucky son of a gun. For those who can't make one of the dates, I wish I could round you all up in my car and bring you along. That being said, will any of you guys or gals be at The Waiting Room with me in Buffalo? Let me know for sure!

Okay so for all my complaining, we still got a great set and I am incredibly pleased with my merch gets. Setlist (might be a bit out of order); Pagan Baby Kickflips Atoms Smash Big News Ghost Malls Drag Out Secret Muslim Broken Glowsticks Trippin' The Life Fantastic Trippin' was something else live, I'm so glad we got that. Also, got some close-up footage of Shane shredding Atoms Smash so I will probably have a tab up soon-ish for anyone interested.

I literally can not wait another minute for the show in Buffalo on Tuesday night! I sincerely hope that I get to meet Shane as well as Brian of course. I'm liking the setlists I'm seeing so far but if you guys can slip "Ghost Malls" or "Fresh Prints" in somewhere it would make my life! :-)
