i'd go. even if he doesn't want you there, your presence shows an "i'm here for you regardless" type of vibe.
but that's just me.

Short, unelaborated answers. No eye contact. Et cetera.

I'm thinking about taking 17 units this quarter. My only worry is that towards the end of the quarter it'd probably be working close to 50 hours a week. Whatcha y'all think?

Unless you have time to study at work, I'd say keep it light. Its possible to end up failing because you didn't have the time to study, and that would just be no fun.

i need advice from the musicians in the house. my friend ken is looking to learn the guitar, and is interested more in electric than acoustic, but he's at a loss as to what to look for. any advice on where to start? what's important? whether starting with electric would work? any tips or suggestions would be greatly appreciated

I asked Santino, who has been playing guitar for almost thirteen years. He suggested Ken learn acoustic first because it's harder so once you get that down, electric is a breeze — but at the same time, he should do what he wants and if he's got his heart set on learning electric, go for it. Make sure he just learns chords first and practices scales. If he doesn't have money to get a teacher, he can just go on youtube or something and there are a lot of instructional videos that a lot of people find very helpful. Does Ken have a guitar yet? If not, what is his budget range and what kind of music is he looking to play?

"The kind of music is just as important as the price. There are different kinds of guitars for different kinds of music, so find out what he wants to play" - Santino
