hey where did you see they were back together? Conor Meads posted a bulletin saying new Pistolita coming soon.. he's the main reason they broke up, he left to Texas with his girl.. Not sure if he came back or if the band still has the same lineup but they are definitely putting out some new tunes..and Conor is definitely back on Piano. I want to find out about Cory.. |

Does anyone think the singer sounds like the guitarist/vocalist from Conor oberst and the mystic valley band?

Eh, not really, but it might be hard for me to hear it because the genres are so radically different. For some reason Yoni's voice actually reminds me of the dude from Tokyo Police Club - Yoni's is much lower, but there's some vocal quality they share that I can't quite place my finger on.

Conor doesn't even really play acoustic songs much anymore, especially with the Mystic Valley Band. And he rarely bitches about girls nowadays - most of his lyrics focus on politics and the state of society.
Just throwing that out there.
