i'm around 90% sure i have some sort of anxiety disorder. since september i've been having bouts of nausea brought on by nervousness, often leading to vomiting, and sometimes i get pins and needles in my face, so i've been researching it (cos everyone knows the internet is the best way to diagnose yourself on these things ) and GAD seems uncomfortable familiar to me. i'm gonna visit a doctor next week.

I was diagnosed with GAD a year and a half ago. I mostly had social anxiety, but I also had ridiculous paranoia and would lay awake at night worrying about totally implausible things. I tried a few different anxiety meds but smoking weed has helped more than any of them.

that's how i am, i worry about the most ridiculous things and obsess over stuff that i really shouldn't even give a second thought. i dont wanna have to take medication, that shit fucked up my brother to the point that he's not even there any more. as for weed... i'm far too whitebread for such a thing :B

Actually part of the reason I smoke weed is because I'm not comfortable taking medication. Marijuana has replaced all my prescriptions and I've never been more stable and happy. To each their own obviously, and it affects everyone differently - I have a friend whose anxiety tripled every time he was high. But it works for me. If you're opposed to any medication - herbal or otherwise - I would highly suggest you talk to a therapist or something because they can help teach you how to cope with things properly. It really makes a world of difference.

i've been using my bff as a makeshift therapist. he's awesome that way, i can tell him anything and he's super understanding. but maybe a pro is necessary :S

I think I have some sort of anxiety disorder today as well. For example today I had to write an in-class essay no big deal right? I've done it 1,000 times before and had no problem. I literally had to get out of the class room and walk around to calm down. Once I came back to class I couldn't concentrate whatsoever. Suckage.

Something similar happened to me in my Women in American History class. I had been sick for a few weeks and missed several sessions and showed up on the day of the midterm - I had completely forgotten and was totally unprepared. I was doing the multiple choice section of the test and there was one question I wasn't a million percent sure on and I started freaking out. I scribbled a note to my professor telling her that I was about to have an anxiety attack and I'd just take an F for the midterm. I ran out to the bathroom, puked, cried, puked again, and on the way back to my car, my professor grabbed me and told me she would let me retake the midterm when I was ready. Then I sat in my car for an hour and cried and tried to catch my breath and calm down.

It sucked.

The girl I asked to go to prom is actually going to prom. Although I think I'm actually happy about it. She wasn't smart enough for me and I needed a better reason to dislike her. Yeah, I'm awesome.

my best friend just told me he's arranged a cinema trip for me and him... and his other bff, his number 1 who i've never met, and i'm kinda freaking out a little. i mean i want to meet the guy, i really do, i mean all i know about him is his name, but i can't help but feel horribly jealous, and it's causing me all kinds of grief.

I just found out that my friend's band (who I've been waiting to see for YEARS) is playing in Nashville around the time I was thinking about going... and I realized that a Warped Tour date I requested press for is on the 21st. My friend's show is the 20th. FML.
