I am dying to learn some stuff from "Follow the Rattle..." but I am absolutely stumped when I try to jam along with it. Hopefully some day I'll stumble upon the chords for one of the songs while noodling around. I FORCED MYSELF TO LEARN THE MAIN RIFF FROM "THE COMPASS" AND I THINK I GOT IT!!
I need your help to make sure that it's truly accurate so that I can tab the rest of the song. Does this sound right to you guys?

That riff runs through the whole song, unless of course you're playing the "Big News" live version. The rest of the chords for "The Compass" version sound like:

Alright. New here. SECRET MUSLIM chords. I'm not really a tab guy I go by what I hear/see and maybe some chord tabs. Pretty sure they play in open D. Seems to be the more or less go to. tune like thus (Low to High) DAdf#ad Chords (The best way to play all these chords is second finger for the Bass notes (low E) Pinky on "a" string and switch between using first finger for minor chords and 3rd finger for major chords on f# string. D F#m E A Bm D' d----0 - - - - - a-- 0 4 2 7 9 12 f#- 0 3 2 7 8 12 d-- 0 0 0 0 0 0 A-- 0 - - - - - D-- 0 4 2 7 9 12 Starts with that ringing reverbed out note. That's an A#. Oh and in that video to the tab above ^^^^ ... They play it tuned down 1/2 step. So don't try to play along unless you tune down.

Ok so I think MOUNTAIN is in the same tuning as Atoms Smash/Armed To The Teeth where the G string stays G but everything else is Open D (I guess I don't really know if it's just drop D or open but...) Basically it's a lot easier to play octaves in Open D that way. It starts with alternating between a C powerchord and an F powerchord. There's some really dissonant stuff going on in the song I'm working out I just wanted to throw this up incase someone else runs with it before I can finish it. The fun part though, because I know you just wanna play along to the "And I'm Growiiiiinnn," is E->F chords with your pinky on the 5th fret of the middle D string.

Hey guys I'm drunk like usual when I post, but hey CHance, I haven't gotten to try out your tabs yet, but I don't know if you've thought of this yet, but theres an acoustin version of Secret Muslim that they played on some local radio station 94.1 or something?? If you dont have it, someone hook this brother up! It's slower and you can hear exactlyyyyy whats going on guitar-wise. PLus its just an awesome jam all around.
On a less sloppy note, I'm gonna try out your tab tomorrow or the next day and see whassup with that guy

Most of the changes are being made to the "I stay up here for fear of murdering" riffs which are quite confusing to tab. It makes sense in my head so hopefully it will make sense when you try it. I also changed the intro slightly to avoid any confusion. Rock on.

Haha, you know me too well man.
As soon as I had the parts down pat I started transposing it into the acoustic realm. Everything up until the "If you were looking in the valley..." part goes pretty smooth, but then it gets pretty difficult to keep the right timing without a drummer. I may have to cut small parts out in an attempt to make it flow better and keep the length down. I'll post it if I am successful!

It took over a week for the corrections to be posted on Ultimate Guitar, but they're finally up and the song should be very close to 100% correct. It sounds great when you jam along to it - even if every riff isn't exactly what Brian plays. I'm super stoked.
