why.. whats so hard to understand.. keep in mind its open d
edit: oh and i put x's instead since -'s take up a different amount of space than a number.. here are chords for that mann
open d tuning (i dont have a high e string right now but i think its tuned to d for this song.. ill let someone else figure that out) d----------? a--4-6-----4 f#-4-6-7---4 d--4-6-6-6-4 a--4-6-4-6-4 d--------6-- everything is the part above except the "you can you will.." part which is.. d----- a----4 f#---4 d--6-4 a--6-4 d--6--

hahaah what are you guys talking about?? the verse might be just the first two chords but the "that was mee i had to believe it to see that was me" part sounds like all three. but im listening to the digital version so that may affect it?
listen to the bass its not just going between two notes its going from an E to a D to a C. i think it goes to the third chord the third time he says "i was" before that its just alternating between the first two
i think what youre hearing is this.. he may play a regular c chord the second half of the verse, so the switch from the c to the g barchord goes up in pitch instead of down, when its the c barchord.. cuz i hear what youre talking about now, it sounds different halfway
